When I resigned from Voicemail International, I wasn’t sure how the industry would remember my role.  Shortly afterward, I was invited to a private dinner attended by many of the people who had helped shape the emerging voicemail industry: Family, Friends, Pioneers and Partners —people who had been with us in the trenches from the beginning. 

On November 14, 1987 I recceived an award from those who had dedicated their lives to supporting the emerging VOICEMAIL industry.

The award read;  Paul Finnigan Father of Voicemail, Voicemail International (1979–1987).

It wasn’t something I had to claim— the Voicemail world always knew!
